A Test render. Notice the chrome bases of the umbrella picking up the jungle background. This would not be possible if the background image was added after rendering in GIMP or Photoshop. The model was created in Sketch Up 7, rendered in Vray, and edited in GIMP. Google's Layout was used for the presentation boards. Using a photograph of a jungle as a material added to background geometry, and giving the material a light emitting layer attempts to add an extra level of reality to the image. A test rendering using a full jungle background shows that the jungle scene is picked up on the chrome umbrella bases. This would not be possible adding the background in later with GIMP or Photoshop.
