"Le NEO" Living Room Design

5GIMP
A simple modern design for a living room using the client's choice of black and white. The name of the housing development this project is being done in is "Le NEO."

2GIMP
Another look from the sofa, across the coffee table and at the entertainment center.

3GIMP
The furniture and much of the design is just a temporary, preliminary look. A site visit for measuring and taking account for the actual furniture being used will be made for the second phase of designing.

Foyer Visualization

A foyer feature designed by a client, given dimensions and
visualized for either further development or construction.

A typical feature in Asian culture is to place mirrors of one
variety or another near entrances as part of Feng Shui.
Practices differ from culture to culture, this design is Thai.

The entire model was done in-house with the exception of the
plant fronds - which were taken from the 3D Warehouse.

Not all designs are done in-house. Often times clients and even friends come with designs they'd like to see visualized for both further development and to help contractors see the end goal in any given project. This foyer project was one such design, to give a client an idea of how their design would look upon completion.

Townhouse Project

Final layout for townhouse project.

Initial interior concept. This room was modeled inside the
original architectural model.

An older exterior layout that turned out to be too big for
the actual lot the project was to be built on.

These images were created during the final phases of conceptualization for a townhouse project in Petchaburi, Thailand. There were external changes made on the actual model, as well as several iterations made for the layout. On site measurements helped refine the design.

For the interior designing, the external architectural 3D model was stripped down of unnecessary details, while the inside, already rigged somewhat in the initial phases of modeling, was built up with furniture, lighting, floor, wall, and ceiling treatments.

Saraburi Project: Update

The original layout plan.

As of December 2010. It has changed color to orange, and the
roof slopes down over the back kitchen area for practical
considerations.

Front elevation view.

Viewing inward to the still unfinished interior, exterior ornaments added
during construction can be seen including lighting glass blocks.

Stage two consists of an on-site workshop. Above is a preliminary
concept of one direction the workshop can go in.

This residential project has been moving along over the course of the last year since the last post found here. Several additional layouts have been produced for window and lighting placement and now concepts are being proposed for an on-site workshop area and a smaller separate room for guests.

Saraburi Residential

Initial kitchen design, utilizing elements from contemporary German design. Stainless steel legs lift the sink and cupboard off the floor to make the design open and more easily cleaned. Concrete and wood are used to match the bathrooms and overall rough finish of the house.

Floor plan for communicating with contractors, includes renders of both bathrooms.

Townhouse Bathroom

Here is a rendering from my latest project. It is a bathroom for a townhouse in Bangkok, modeled in SketchUp and rendered using SketchUp's Vray plug-in.

Vray was new to me at the beginning of the week but after some studying and having had experience using Mental Ray the transition was fairly painless. Now there is no need to transfer models over to 3ds for rendering, making the process faster and more efficient.
